Edward is a Director of Technical Connection and works closely with Tony Wickenden and Claire Trott, predominantly on the development and implementation of all aspects of the Technical Connection proposition and strategy continuing commitment to the profession.
He is a passionate advocate of the financial planning profession and during his extensive career spanning over 30 years he has sought to support, mentor and lead the development of initiatives to build consumer confidence and trust in financial advice.
Edward is chair of the of the TISA (The Investing and Saving Alliance) Taxation committee as well as a member of the Vulnerable Clients committee.
A past president of the Personal Finance Society the largest UK financial services professional body and served a full six year term on the board joining originally in 2008. He is a past Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Vice President, current Vice President of the Insurance Institute of London and is a current trustee of the CII pension scheme. Previously he also sat on the Chartered Insurance Institute's Professional Standards Board as the Financial Planning representative.
Edward has a strong interest and experience in all aspects of technical excellence, learning and accreditation. For a number of years, he has been a leader in technical sales, raising productivity and communicating detailed technical changes affecting tax and financial planning strategy to financial advisers and institutions.
